Does your life ever feel messy, chaotic, and ugly?
Think of an abstract painting up-close. It looks completely disordered and unpleasant.
You shake your head and say, “I don’t get it.”
But step back a few feet.
Get the whole perspective.
And you’ll discover beauty.
The point?
When it comes to our lives, we’re not looking at a painting.
We’re in the painting.
The wisdom writer, Solomon, calls this, “life under the sun.” It’s the activity of God to make everything beautiful in its time.
In this moment, God is bending all things in your life—the good, bad, and ugly—back toward His perfect and glorious will.
God is always about His glory, your good, and others joy.
His goal is redemption and beauty regardless of the ugliness in your past or present caused by you, others, or just life.
You may not understand now, but one day you’ll have the eternal “Oooooh, now I get it.”
So trust Him, child. Hang on.
He makes everything beautiful in its time.
Amen Pastor Jarrod! He gives beauty for ashes (Joel 61:3) and He restores what the locusts have eaten! (Joel 2:25) Praise Your almighty name Jesus!
Yes, indeed!
Second time this week I’ve heard the message “Hang on!” Feeling like it might be God’s specific words to me. Thanks for being a vessel, Jarrod!
Amazing. Thank you! Hang on!
Thank You! I needed to hear this!
You’re welcome. Thank you!
God will lead us through the storm – great reminder to hang on. After a bitter winter comes a beautiful spring, but as I’ve learned over four weeks, our seasons don’t always have the “normal” order. Hang on, time in, He’s always listening, guiding, providing.
Yes. Yes. Thank you for sharing!
